Public Invited to 21-Gun Salute Celebrating Saint John’s 241st Birthday

The City of Saint John will mark its 241st birthday on Monday, May 18, 2026.

To commemorate the occasion, the 3rd Field Artillery Regiment (The Loyal Company) will perform a traditional 21-gun salute at Fort Howe (16 Magazine Street) at 12:00 p.m.

Members of the public are welcome to attend this ceremonial event. A limited supply of hearing protection will be available on site; however, attendees are encouraged to bring their own.
