Public invited to provide input into City’s Community Energy Action Plan

The City of Saint John, in partnership with Saint John Energy, is developing a Community Energy Action Plan to achieve its goal of reaching net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. The public is encouraged to join the discussion, share their ideas and be part of the driving force to make Saint John more resilient to the effects of climate change and continue to become an energy-focused city.

The public is invited to attend an engagement workshop and information session on Thursday, March 2 from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. in the community room at Saint John Police Headquarters located at 1 Peel Plaza. Residents will have an opportunity to learn about the Community Energy Action Plan, engage in discussion around the steps the City is taking to achieve its energy goals and understand how their insights will contribute to achieving those goals.

For details about the workshop and to learn more about the project, visit the Community Energy Action Plan page on the City’s public engagement platform, Shape Your City Saint John by visiting www.shapeyourcitysaintjohn.ca.
