Saint John Transit Multi-ride fare increase effective January 1, 2026

Saint John Transit multi-ride passes (monthly and 10-Ride Transcards) will increase by an average of 1.5% on January 1, 2026. Single cash fares for in-city routes will remain at $3. Comex cash fare will increase to $4.50.

Fare increases will allow the Saint John Transit Commission to address rising costs (for example, vehicles, fuel, maintenance, insurance) as the agency continues to expand service and introduce new technology and system enhancements.

Riders who use STJRides – the account based mobile ticketing app – will continue to see the introductory promotional discount of five (5) percent per fare purchase in 2026. More information about SJTRides is available here.
