Temporary Overnight Snow Parking Ban Declared for North, East and West Areas of Saint John

An overnight snow parking ban has been declared for the North, East and West areas of the City effective midnight this evening (January 2) through to 7am tomorrow morning (January 3). This means there is no on-street parking allowed anywhere in the North, East and West areas of the City. Any vehicles remaining on-street after midnight when a snow ban has been declared WILL BE TICKETED AND/OR TOWED at the owner's risk and expense.

Overnight parking bans are declared as per sections 5(6) and 5(7) of the City’s Traffic By-law to allow for snow removal operations.

North, East and West Temporary Overnight Parking Bans – what to do when a ban is declared

  • All vehicles must be moved off the streets between the hours of midnight and 7:00 a.m.
  • Motorists must make their own arrangements for off-street parking during a ban.
  • Any vehicle impeding snow removal operations will be ticketed and/or towed at the owner’s expense.

The City of Saint John apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for your cooperation as we work to clear our City streets.
