Test of City emergency alert and notification system a success

The Saint John Emergency Management Organization (SJ-EMO) and City of Saint John successfully tested its emergency alert and notification system on May 9. More than 3,195 residents who have subscribed to date received a test alert notification through either email, voice or text.

Emergency alerts and notifications are distributed by the SJ-EMO and City of Saint John to broadly communicate urgent public safety notices and important municipal news and information. 

The City encourages all residents to register to receive notifications. Don’t wait for an emergency to sign up. The best time is now. Signing up is quick and easy and can be done by visiting www.saintjohn.ca/subscribe.
