Traffic Advisory: Charlotte Street

The City of Saint John would like to advise the public of the following traffic interruption that will begin June 17 on Charlotte Street. This work is necessary for road repairs and reconstruction as well as installation of new curb, sidewalks, brick medians, street lighting and underground power and communications.

Duration: 45 days

Time: 24 hours/day, seven days/week

Direction: In both directions

Action: Closed to through traffic

Specific area: Between King Square South and Princess Street

Description of work: Road repairs/reconstruction. Installation of new curb, sidewalks, brick medians, street lighting and underground power and communications

Through traffic will be detoured around this section of Charlotte Street.

ADDITIONALLY: The intersection of Broad Street and Charlotte Street will also be closed from June 17 to June 19 for this project. A detour route will be marked and advanced signage of intersection closure will be provided.

Road signage and sidewalk directional signage will be in place. Motorists are asked to drive with caution and be aware of pedestrians and workers.
