Traffic Advisory: Moonlight Bazaar

The City of Saint John would like to advise the public of the following traffic interruption that will begin on Saturday, August 24 in the uptown area. This closure is necessary to allow for pedestrian and motorist safety during Moonlight Bazaar.

Street: Canterbury Street, Prince William Street, Grannan Lane, and Princess Street

Specific area:

  • Canterbury Street: Between King Street and 65 Canterbury Street (near Canada Revenue Agency office)
  • Prince William Street: Between King Street and 122 Prince William Street (near Jones Gallery)  
  • Grannan Lane: Between Germain Street and Prince William Street 
  • Princess Street: Between Germain Street and Prince William Street

Duration: One (1) day

Time: 8:00 a.m. Saturday to 12:00pm (noon) Sunday

Direction: In both directions

Action: Closed to through traffic.  Access to properties and businesses inside the closed section will be maintained.

Description of work: Event

All vehicles in the closed section must be removed from the street and parking lots at the Canterbury Street and Princess Street intersection prior to 8:00 a.m. Saturday, August 24. Any vehicles remaining will be towed.

Accessible parking spots will be located on Canterbury Street (near the Duke Street intersection) and on Prince William Street (near the Duke Street intersection). Signage will be in place indicated they are accessible parking only.

Road signage and sidewalk directional signage will be in place. Motorists are asked to drive with caution and be aware of pedestrians and workers.
