Traffic Advisory: Rockwood Glows

The City of Saint John would like to advise the public of the following traffic interruption that will begin on Saturday, February 1 at Rockwood Park.  This closure is necessary to allow for pedestrian and motorist safety during Fundy Winterfest’s Rockwood Glows.

Street: Lake Drive South

Specific area: After first parking lot

Date: February 1, 2025

Duration: One (1) day

Time: 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Direction: In both directions

Action: Closed to through traffic.

Description of work: Event

The parking lot at the top of Lake Drive South has limited space. The Fisher Lake parking lot is available for extra parking. There will be a free shuttle service from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. from the Fisher Lake’s parking lot to Lake Drive South.

The Fisher Lakes Parking lot is accessed through the back parking lot off Hawthorne Avenue Extension.

Those community members with a disability who require accessible parking should speak to staff at the traffic checkpoint for assistance.

Road signage and sidewalk directional signage will be in place. Motorists are asked to drive with caution and be aware of pedestrians.
