Traffic Advisory: Saint John Soap Box Derby

The City of Saint John would like to advise the public of the following traffic interruption on Saturday, June 6 on various streets. This closure is necessary to allow for pedestrian and motorist safety during the Saint John Soap Box Derby.

Street: Cranston Avenue, Sixth Street, Thornbrough Street

Date: June 6, 2026

Duration: One (1) day

Time: 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Direction: In both directions

Action: Closed to through traffic

Description of work: Event.

Dairy Queen drive through will be closed during this time, although the parking lot will remain open.

Road signage and sidewalk directional signage will be in place. Motorists are asked to drive with caution and be aware of event participants.
