Traffic Advisory: Thorne Avenue

The City of Saint John would like to advise the public of the following traffic interruption beginning on Monday, October 6 on Thorne Avenue.  This traffic interruption is necessary to complete road repairs and reconstruction.

Businesses will remain open while the work is being completed. 

Street: Thorne Avenue

Specific area: Between Egbert Street and Bayside Drive

Date: October 6, 2025

Duration: Ten (10) days

Time: 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Direction: In both directions

Action: Traffic reduced to one lane in each direction.

Description of work: Installation of a permanent center median, including concrete curb work, asphalt pavement, and traffic signage.

Road signage and sidewalk directional signage will be in place. Motorists are asked to drive with caution and be aware of pedestrians and workers.
