Upcoming changes to leaf and yard waste packaging

Effective July 1, 2021 the Fundy Regional Service Commission will be implementing changes to the acceptable packaging for leaf and yard waste disposal. These changes are part of ongoing efforts to reduce the use of plastics throughout the Saint John region.  

To ensure pick-up of your leaf and yard waste with your compost: 

• Place leaf and yard waste in your green compost carts. 

• Place any excess leaf and yard waste in brown paper leaf bags. 

Plastic bags will not be accepted after July 1.
