Update: Temporary street closure notice: Lower Waterloo Street

Update: Effective December 28, 2022 a portion of the lower end of Waterloo Street has been re-opened, including access via Haymarket Square and access to Brinley Street. Please note that some lane restrictions remain in place; drivers and pedestrians should be aware and obey any barricades and traffic signage in the area.

December 24, 2022: The public is advised that, following a structure fire yesterday, the lower section of Waterloo Street has been closed to through traffic, effectively immediately. The closure is in place to ensure public safety as high winds could cause materials from the damaged buildings to collapse.

Barricades and street closure signs have been installed in the area, and the closure will be in place until further notice.
