If the definition of community includes gathering to share experiences, ideas, and concerns, then having a place to gather is critical to the fostering of community. It’s why the City of Saint John funds our local, independently-run community centres. These centres are important assets to our communities—they provide venues for people to meet and for children and adults to participate in sports activities, arts and crafts, health and fitness, and social programs.
Hours of operation and programs offered vary by season and by centre.
Community centres are available for private rentals.
