Saint John Fire and Canadian Coast Guard conducting training exercise on August 10

As part of a continued collaborative and multi-agency effort to train and prepare for emergencies, the Saint John Fire Department advises the public that they will be conducting a joint training exercise with the Canadian Coast Guard in the Saint John Harbour on Saturday, August 10. During the training, multiple emergency and specialty vehicles and marine units, as well as emergency personnel will be on-site and in the water performing a simulated rescue.

The exercise is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m., weather permitting.

This is only a training exercise and there are no public safety concerns.
