Saturday Winter Market launches at the Saint John City Market

Bringing a new and exciting opportunity to shop in the heart of the city

Come join us for the “Saturday Winter Market” beginning this Saturday, November 7, in the historic Saint John City Market. The Winter Market will be welcoming pop-up vendors every Saturday to run alongside regular market merchants from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

“With seasonal summer markets like the Saint John Night Market, Queen Square Farmers Market and Kingston Farmers Market coming to a close, we saw an opportunity to create something special uptown and welcome more vendors into our space,” says Andrew MacDonald, Manager of the City Market. “The Saturday Winter Market will bring a distinct vibe to the uptown, with many new faces and products to showcase.”

This weekend, the Winter Market will host 13 pop-up vendors, bringing the total number of merchants in the Market to over 30. With calls coming in from additional parties, we expect to see even more merchants set up in the coming weeks.

“We are happy with the interest we’ve received so far,” adds MacDonald. “And as we approach the holidays, we are planning to include theme weeks and welcome special Christmas Market vendors.”

Further details on the Winter Market will be available through the Market’s Facebook page. Anyone interested in becoming a pop-up vendor in the Winter Market can contact us at: city.market@saintjohn.ca or visit www.sjcitymarket.ca.

The City Market continues to offer a safe shopping experience by following all public health guidelines and the COVID-19 operational plan. Visitors are reminded to wear their masks.
