Was your compost not collected today? We have made improvements to our compost collection process, and the lids are no longer left open after collection. Before reaching out to us, please check your bin to ensure it has not been emptied. Also, you can confirm your scheduled collection date here.
If it was indeed your regular collection date and we missed your compost, please inspect the container for any rejection stickers. Compost Bins cannot weigh more than 100lbs—and grass clippings can often add a lot of weight to a compost bin.
Was your compost out on time? Daytime collection begins at 7:30 a.m. If you receive night time compost pickup, compost must be curbside by 9:00 p.m.
When clearing out your yard, place leaves in your Fundy Region-issued compost bin, in clear plastic bags, or brown paper yard waste bags. Leaves will not be collected if placed in garbage bags.
If you wish to dispose of brush or branches, limbs must be no longer than 4ft in length, and 2 inches in diameter.
The top of your compost bin must be closed to be collected. If debris is sticking out from the top, it will be rejected.
If none of the above applies to your situation, please complete a service request form with proper information. City Staff will review the request and reach out to you via email.
