The C.E. Nick Nicolle Community Centre offers programs and activities for children, adults, and seniors, including recreation, wellness programs, and after-school services. It is financially supported by the City of Saint John and operated by The ONE Change Inc.
Formerly the North End Community Centre, it was renamed to honour the late Clayton (Nick) Nicolle. Nick dedicated 31 years to the city of Saint John serving in the Recreation department. Nick’s leadership resulted in the improvement and expansion of recreation facilities and the provision of leisure opportunities at the community and neighbourhood levels. He championed the development of some of the City’s notable recreation and sport facility landmarks, including the Hilton Belyea, Charles Gorman and Stewart Hurley arenas, as well as six community centres, including the North End Community Centre.
