Saint John Transit Service Enhancements Effective April 7, 2024
Saint John Transit is pleased to announce upcoming schedule changes, effective Sunday, April 7, 2024.
Changes are focused on enhancing Saturday and Sunday service. Evening service on Routes 1, 3 and 15 will be extended.

Upcoming Service Enhancements
Route 1 W Lancaster Mall
- Last bus will depart Irving Oil Field House at 10:30 pm.
- Last bus will depart McAllister Place at 10:35 pm.
Route 1E McAllister Mall/Irving Oil Field House
- Two evening trips have been added from Lancaster Mall, leaving at 10:50 pm and 11:20 pm.
Route 3 N Regional Hospital/ UNB Saint John
- Last bus will leave McAllister Place at 10:50 pm.
Route 3 E McAllister Mall
- Last bus will depart UNB Saint John campus to King’s Square at 11:30 pm.
Route 15 W Harbour Bridge/Fairville Blvd. Plaza
- Last bus departs King’s Square at 10:20 pm.
Note: weekday evening buses will depart King’s Square at 20 minutes past the hour beginning with the 6:20 pm run.
Route 15 S Harbour Bridge
- Last bus will depart Fairville Blvd. Plaza at 10:45 pm.
Note: weekday evening buses will leave Fairville Blvd. Plaza at 45 minutes past the hour beginning with the 6:45 pm run.
Route 15 S Harbour Bridge
- First bus will leave Lancaster Mall at 6:50 am.
- Last bus will leave Fairville Blvd. Plaza at 9:45pm.
Note: Saturday evening buses will depart King’s Square at 45 minutes past the hour beginning with the 6:45 pm run.
Route 15 W Harbour Bridge
- First bus will leave King’s Square at 7:20 am.
- Last bus will leave King’s Square at 10:20 pm.
Note: Saturday evening buses will depart King’s Square at 20 minutes past the hour beginning with the 6:20 pm run.
Route 15 will also provide to half hour frequency during peak hours on Saturday.
Route 20 Wright Street/Fort Howe
- First bus will leave Metcalf/Lansdowne at 7:50 am.
- Last bus will leave Kings Square will leave at 6:10 pm.
The bus will run hourly.
Route 24 North End
- First bus will leave Metcalf/Lansdowne at 7:30 am.
The bus will run hourly.
FLEX West
- Service will begin at 7:30 am and continue until 6 pm.
Route 1 W Lancaster Mall
- First bus will leave McAllister Place at 7:35 am.
- Last bus will leave McAllister Place at 6:05 pm.
1W will run every half an hour on Sunday.
Route 1 E McAllister Place/Irving Oil Field House
- First bus will leave Lancaster Mall at 7:50 am.
- Last bus will leave Lancaster Mall at 6:20 pm.
1E will run every half an hour on Sunday.
Route 3 N Regional Hospital/ UNB Saint John
- First bus will leave from McAllister Place at 7:20 am.
- Last bus will leave from McAllister Place at 6:20 pm.
Route 3 E McAllister Place
- First bus will leave UNB Saint John campus 7:30 am.
- Last bus will leave UNB Saint John Campus at 6:30 pm.
Route 15 W Harbour Bridge/Fairville Blvd. Plaza
- First bus leave King’s Square at 8:20 am.
- Last bus leave King’s Square at 6:20 pm.
Note: 15 W Sunday buses will depart King’s Square at 20 minutes past the hour.
Route 15 S Harbour Bridge
- First bus will leave Lancaster Mall at 7:50 am.
- Last bus will leave Fairville Blvd. Plaza at 5:45 pm.
Note: 15 S Sunday buses will depart Lancaster Mall at 10 minutes to the hour.
Route 30 Champlain Heights/Silver Falls
Hourly service from McAllister Mall at 10 minutes past the hour.
- First bus will leave McAllister Place at 8:10 am.
- Last trip will leave MacAllister Place to 6:10 pm.
Route 31 Forest Glen
Hourly service from McAllister Mall at 20 minutes to the hour.
- First bus will leave McAllister Place at 7:40 am.
- Last trip will leave MacAllister Place at 5:40 pm.
Riders began to see the results of the Transforming Transit project in October 2022, with the increased frequency on main lines.
Since January 2023, the Saint John Transit team has worked together to add six electric vehicles, increase service on all 14 fixed routes, create three FLEX on-demand zones and introduce the SJTRides e-fare payment app.
