Councillor David Hickey was elected in May of 2019 in a by-election. He lives in the South End of the city.
At 24, David is the youngest member of Common Council. He works at the Heart&Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick in Marketing and Communications, studied business at the University of New Brunswick, and has experience working with the Federal Government on Parliament Hill. David identifies his main areas of focus to be poverty, growth, neighbourhood sustainability, fiscal responsibility, and climate change.
David lives with his partner Nora and their dog Sophie.
