Greg Norton

Councillor

Councillor Greg Norton has represented Ward 1 on Saint John Common Council since 2012 and was re-elected in 2016 and 2021. He is known for his strong community focus and commitment to recreation, public safety, neighbourhood development, and fiscal responsibility.

In addition to his role on Council, Greg has built a career in education as a teacher and school administrator, and currently serves as Principal of Princess Elizabeth School. His work has provided strong connections with local families and community organizations.

Throughout his time on Council, Greg has served on a number of committees and boards, including the Saint John Board of Police Commissioners, Finance Committee, Public Safety Committee, and the Canada Games Aquatic Centre Commission. He has also contributed to organizations such as Discover Saint John, ONE Change Inc., and the Saint John Jeux Canada Games Foundation.

A father of three daughters, Greg lives in West Saint John and remains actively involved in civic and community life. His focus remains on building safe, vibrant neighbourhoods and supporting a strong, sustainable future for the city.
