Mayor Donna Noade Reardon was elected as the 79th Mayor of the City of Saint John in May 2021 and May 2026. She is the third woman to hold the office in the city’s 241-year history. She was first elected to Common Council in 2012 and re-elected in 2016.
Mayor Reardon holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Human Nutrition from Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Her professional background has fueled a strong commitment to social equity, particularly in addressing child poverty and supporting vulnerable populations. Her ongoing civic engagement reflects her passion for resilient neighborhoods, active transportation, climate action, and mental and physical wellness through accessible amenities and recreation. She has over 30 years of volunteer service and dedication to her community.
In her role as Mayor, Donna serves as an ex-officio member on all City of Saint John Standing Committees, working closely with Council and City staff to provide thoughtful, evidence-based leadership while building strong partnerships that ensure sustainable, win-win outcomes for residents, businesses, and the environment alike.
